You can spend a day in the area around the maelstrom, or go on a RIB-boat safari from Bodø city center. The last option will give you an adrenaline rush as you get to feel the strong forces beneath you.

Are you visiting between September and April you have pretty good chances at seeing lady aurora. The dancing light over the midnights sky is something really special, and we never get tired of seeing the mesmerizing phenomena.
P.S. Are you flying in during the evening? Don’t forget to reserve a window seat for your flight – If you are extra lucky you get to watch it up close.
