Bodø is a small city just above the Arctic Circle and home to Bodø/Glimt,
the football team that has carried the name of our city onto the global stage and now plays in the UEFA Champions League.
It may sound unbelievable: a football club from a city of just 53,000 people competing against Europes giants.
But in Bodø, it makes perfect sense.
Life has never been ordinary here. Because this is a city shaped by extremes.

It is the same mindset that helped Bodø rise again after the city was almost completely destroyed during World War II. And that provided the courage to reinvent itself when the military airbase, the backbone of the local economy, was closed in 2022.
Where others might have accepted decline, Bodø chose transformation.
