Where to Find the Front Row Seats to the Greatest Light Show on Earth?
The front row seats are located at Ausvika in Bodø. This is how you find them
Front Row Seats to The Greatest Light Show on Earth
Just outside Bodø, four specially designed Northern Lights Chairs are waiting for those wanting a first class view when hunting the Northern Lights.
Designed by local craftsman Sander Kommedahl, the chairs are built to encourage you to lean back and gaze upwards, making them the ideal “front row seats” for the Northern Lights. Positioned like a cinema row, they create the perfect setting to enjoy the aurora with friends or family.
Where to find the front row?
The chairs are placed on a hill near the beach at Ausvika, facing north for an optimal view of the aurora borealis. The area is easily accessible by car, with parking available nearby. From the parking lot, a short walk brings you to the site, where the chairs sit in a row like a small outdoor theater.

- The chairs are located almost at the tip of the hill facing north towards the iconic Landegode mountains in the sea.
