About

Sami language week is an international celebration which aims to raise the status of the
Sami languages, and increase knowledge of Sami language and culture throughout society.

In Bodø, the Sami festival Márkomannu, Stormen-kvartalet, Bodø2024 and
Noereh collaborate on a program that conveys both tradition and
innovation in Sami cultural life. Bodø2024’s biggest venture
towards Giellavahkko is Ságastit, a language and visibility project for and with a young Sami target group.
