Eurovision Young Musicians is classical music’s version of the Eurovision Song Contest. Young classical instrumentalists between the ages of 12 and 21 compete for glory and a future international soloist career.
In 2024, the competition will be held in Bodø in a collaboration between NRK, Bodø2024 and Bodø municipality. During the final on Saturday, August 17, the ten finalists will each perform a piece together with the Norwegian Broadcasting Orchestra.
Previous Norwegian participants include Leif Ove Andsnes, Vilde Frang, Tine Thing Helseth, Elbjørg Hemsing and violist Eivind Holtsmark Ringstad, who reached the top in 2012.
