Saltstraumen’s whirlpools hide a colourful and magical world. The wild currents make it inaccessible, but every six hours when the tide turns, we are invited in. Then we can dive into the kelp forest, float weightlessly along walls covered in white and orange anemones.

Not everyone likes to jump into the water. That is why we have created a backyard exhibition outside Saltbrygga, where anyone who wants to experience a bit of the Saltstaumen’s wonderful underwater world are welcome. Pictures and text take you on a journey to a world unknown to many.
