About

Parkenfestivalen is an annual non-profit music festival held in Rensåsparken in Bodø, Norway. Since its inception in 2006, the festival has brought music enthusiasts together every August, offering audiences an intimate experience with artists such as Nick Cave, Zara Larsson, Ellie Goulding, and N.E.R.D, as well as Sondre Justad, Halvdan Sivertsen, Kygo, and Undergrunn.

Today, the festival features three major stages (Amfiet, Parkscena, and Svømmehallen), a stage for emerging local talents (Skogen), a food court, and several bar areas, with a total audience capacity of 10,500. On the Thursday preceding the festival, the event hosts “Familieparken,” a full-day festival for children and youth.

In addition to its audience and artists, Parkenfestivalen is supported by a year-round administration, 450 volunteers and local community groups, 30 youth in the UNG Crew, and 200 crew members during the lead-up, execution, and aftermath of the festival.

In 2025, Parkenfestivalen will take place on August 15–16. Artists announced so far include Sean Paul, Faithless, Gabrielle, Åge & Sambandet, Amanda Bergman, Seigmen, Artemas, Fantastic Negrito, Gill Landry, SYML, Sondre Lerche, and Holly Macve
