Coastal walk

A stroll to the fishing village at Støtt

About

Join us for a guided walk through the fishing community.
Your guide will share stories from the trading post’s golden heyday, showing you the various buildings and telling you what they were used for and give you insights into the islanders’ challenges and everyday lives, past and present.

The view from the plateau is spectacular! To the north is the open stretch of ocean misleadingly named the Vestfjord and the jagged peaks of the Lofoten islands, while to the south you peer over many islands, with the Meløy Alps dominating the distance. Remember your camera – because you will want to seize the many photo opportunities! Chances are excellent you will see sea eagles soaring in the sky. Støtt is a major nesting area for Northern Europe’s largest bird of prey.
