Experience the Arctic winter from a sled pulled by eager huskies. Dog sledding in Saltdal combines speed, silence and powerful nature experiences in a stunning winter setting.

After transport from Bodø, you meet experienced guides who introduce you to the dogs, equipment and basic dog sledding techniques. Before departure, you will have time to greet the dogs and receive safety instructions.

The dog sledding tour lasts between 1.5 and 2 hours and covers approximately 6–8 km through snowy landscapes. Two participants share one sled, alternating between driver and passenger. After the tour, you can warm up by the fire before returning to Bodø.

Practical information:
Total duration: approx. 6.5 hours (including transport)
Dog sledding: 1.5–2 hours / 6–8 km
Requirements: Warm clothing, sturdy shoes, gloves and a hat
