Wood Hotel Bodø opened its doors on May 15, 2024, establishing itself as the city’s new experiential and conference hotel. The hotel is primarily constructed of wood, offering a sustainable and enriching destination for both Norwegian and international tourists.
The hotel features 177 rooms in various categories, all with spectacular views of Bodø, Vestfjorden, and the Børvasstindene mountains due to its unique hillside location. Visitors enjoy prime access to the midnight sun in the summer and the famous northern lights in the winter.
The hotel is situated on the site of the old Turisthytta, Bodø’s former grand lodge. For over 100 years, locals and international tourists have visited Rønvikfjellet and its surroundings. Turisthytta was a vital hub for hikers and one of Bodø’s most popular excursion destinations, offering a delightful café that served refreshments to those exploring the area.
In addition to accommodation, the hotel includes Restaurant ATTME with a cocktail bar on the 7th floor and Café Turisthytta on the 1st floor. Both dining concepts are developed by NORD Matstudio, led by award-winning chef Christian André Pettersen. Inspired by nature, they have crafted a culinary experience reflecting the surroundings and the heritage of the old Turisthytta.
The 8th floor houses the hotel’s Pool & Wellbeing area, featuring a heated outdoor pool and steam sauna, with stunning views of Bodø’s spectacular natural scenery.
