Marcialonga Bodø promises to be an extraordinary ski festival, showcasing both the stunning natural beauty of Nordland and the vibrant urban life of the world’s smallest big city. This is a ski event for everyone!
First held in 2024, the event saw over 800 skiers participate in the festivities, which were broadcast live on NRK1 for three hours.
In 2025, the event will level up by becoming part of the Ski Classics Pro Tour. This means around 300 elite skiers from across Europe will be at the starting line, and the race will be broadcast live on TV in 15 countries. This represents an impressive and steep learning curve for a brand-new sports event.
The event’s hub is in Rådhusparken in Bodø, providing a unique opportunity to host a compact event. Participants can walk from the city’s hotels to the start, and it’s a short distance to a hot shower in their hotel room after the finish. Another distinct feature, setting this race apart from most other ski marathons, is the real celebration in the city center after the race. The festivities in Rådhusparken will include local food and drinks and concerts extending well into the evening.
This is a ski festival for everyone. Activities for children will take place on Thursday, March 20, followed by youth events on March 21. On race day, March 22, we have distances for all participants. You can choose between 50, 28, or 10 kilometers. For more information, visit our website.
