In Rødøy you will find beautiful hikes everywhere. Steap or easier. You can climb famous Hestmannen at Storselsøy, or the magnificent peaks on the mainland, such as Telnestinden, Blokktinden or Kvalhovudet. In each local community you will find marked trails for all levels.
Nordfjorden – truly spectacular with its peaks reaching 1000 meters straigh up, the glacier falling over the edge and majestic waterfalls.
Kayaking – enjoy the amazingly rich archipelago, and land on you favourite sandy beach.
Bike – go island hopping by bike, or head out on the country road or trail.
Falch gamle handelssted - trading post from the 1920s shows exhibitions about recent fishing history and the coastal culture.
Selsøyvik gamle handelssted – one of the few trading posts along the coast that is still in operation. A historical gem.
Rødøy – experience the beautiful beaches, the historic church, Klokkergården guesthouse, the adventure-forest and the teddy-bear museum. Or the midnight sun from the top of the mountain Rødøyløva.
Nordnesøy – at Hellstøen you will find a lagoon surrounded by sandy beaches, very special limestone formations and a shelter with a nice fireplace.
Myken – the remote fishing village has come to new life with exotic accommodation at the former school and in the lighthouse, a restaurant using local produce, and the arctic whiskey distillery.
Kilboghavn – a variety of activities based out of Polarcamp. Cabin, boat and bike rental. Boat trips with guide. Great hiking.
Sørfjorden – visit the beautiful little village with the great hiking opportunities. Base camp Helgeland B&B is located in the converted school.
Enjoy the journey. If you arrive by bike, car or on foot, you will always use the sea route through Rødøy.

The catamaran Nordlandsekspressen (NEX) traffics between Bodø and Sandnessjøen daily, with four stops in Rødøy. You can also reach Mo i Rana via this route.
The coastal highway runs through Rødøy mainland, with two ferry connections. visitnorway.no – kystriksveien.
There is also both a catamaran and a ferry operating between the islands and the mainland of Rødøy daily.
From E6 north of Mo i Rana you can follow the road to Melfjordbot by car or bike. From there you can reach the local boat service to other Rødøy-places.
