Over 100 years of mining in a society that is considered unique in Norwegian industrial history has made its mark. Our local guide will take you on a journey to experience the historical whispers and the traces of the mining community’s greatness.
After our guide has lead you through the fascinating history of the community, you will stop at the Mining Museum. Then you will be taken to Jakobsbakken, a mining community located 600 meters above sea level, on the opposite side of the valley in Sulitjelma. Here you will walk through the unique mining town before lunch is served with a mighty view of Arctic mountains and Norway’s highest border mountain.
