Reaching the summit of the mountain Breiviktinden is a nice and easy hike. You quickly gain altitude and are rewarded with wonderful views of the archipelago and Helgeland.

The hike to the summit of Breiviktinden starts from Selsøyvik, an idyllic trading place in the middle of the old “Nordfahrleia” just north of the Arctic Circle. In this sheltered bay, the cluster of houses emerges. The proud buildings are painted red and white, and the oldest houses are more than 200 years old.

The old general store still operates and it’s lively at the marina during the summer.
